The Starlight Theatre (Restaurant and Bar)

It's easy to see why the old-timey miners enjoyed their work so much. They were blessed with one of the best restaurants in all of Texas. Why walk all the way to Fort Worth or El Paso after a hot day of hauling ore? The Starlight Theatre was right here on the premises and they make some of the best damn pies west of Paris. The only problem with the fancy desserts is that they usually come after eating a wonderful (really, really wonderful) meal and you may be too full to guard them from your so-called friends.

Why do they call it the Starlight Theatre? Well, years ago it was a working theatre for the miners, offering movies and the occasional live show. There were some good times back then, and eventually they blew the roof off the joint (not the applause -- a wild desert storm) -- and the Starlight Theatre was born.

The roof is back, but the movies and shows are over. Instead, there's food and drink.
